Grimm's

Breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved how quiet and comfortable the well-appointed rooms were. I'd definitely recommend Grimm’s to friends visiting Berlin.

Breakfast was very good, with fresh pancakes every day and plenty of cheese, salad, and other choices. The room was clean and just the right size, with lots of storage and a large bathroom. Reception staff were friendly and answered all our questions. It's a great location, around a 15-minute walk to Alexanderplatz. Garage parking costs 20€ a night, while street parking is 3€ an hour.

We were disappointed by the bed arrangement. Although we'd confirmed twice that both bedrooms would have double beds, one had a 120 cm bed and an extra bed was set up in the living room. That mattered to us and was a main reason we chose the hotel. They offered compensation, which we appreciated, but the room still wasn't what we expected. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, with a balcony, comfortable beds, and everything we needed. The staff were friendly, and breakfast had a very good range, though occasionally we had to wait a little for the eggs to be replenished. Public transport was easy to reach, and there was underground parking. For the size, facilities, and location, it was still good value.

I liked how open the apartment felt, and appreciated having a lift up to it. The attractions and transport weren't too far away. I wish breakfast had offered more choices, though, since I was pregnant and couldn't eat most of what was there.
