A cosy, very nice family-owned hotel. The host was friendly, our room was clean and well furnished, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. Everything tasted good. Great place!

The subway is nearby, though getting to the city center takes a while, so it may not suit frequent sightseeing. You know that when you book, and it didn't change my rating. My room on the top floor was lovely and clean, with enough space and a fairly roomy bathroom. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and breakfast had plenty of options, I think something for everyone.

For a business trip, the one drawback for me is that optional bookings can't be canceled free of charge at short notice if appointments are postponed or called off. The hotel has a lovely, quiet setting near Schlachtensee and Krumme Lanke, and a well-kept, family-run feel. I especially liked the bright breakfast room and its huge windows.
