Homaris Boxi Studios

The convenient location in Berlin, easy self check-in, and option to leave luggage after checkout were all helpful. It was quiet at night, the room was well insulated, and the mattress was comfortable. There were several cleanliness problems: some dishes and utensils had not been properly washed, hairs were left in the bathroom, and there was a small piece of glass in the main room that got stuck in my foot and had to be removed carefully. It looked as though a glass had broken and the floor had not been fully cleaned. The fridge shelves had milk stains, and the counter still had dried coffee residue. I asked for an iron before arriving. The host asked for our reservation number, which I sent, but never replied after that, and no iron was brought. This was room 13, 2026.05.08-2025.05.10.

Getting into the hotel was a mess. They said they'd emailed the check-in details, but nothing arrived. The link they put up needed a hotel-specific booking ID that I had never been given, so I had to call and spent 45 minutes sorting out check-in. Their WhatsApp support is a joke. The room itself was large, but messy, with cutlery and plates left on the floor. After checkout I left my luggage in the luggage room. At 1830 my code no longer opened the door, which meant another 30 minutes on the phone with support. Worst of all, I left my iO toothbrush and expensive perfume in the room. I contacted them five times because they must have found them. Even after getting past the AI bot, they promised to look into it and get back to me, but never did. When I followed up, I had to explain everything again, only to get the same result. Shameful customer service.

Good value for money, and the apartments are comfortable and in a great location. Everything is self-service, though staff are reachable by chat or phone if you run into a problem.

The room was really clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the kitchen worked well. The bathroom was clean too. Online check-in was very easy, with no reception hassle. Getting here from Berlin hbf is straightforward, and Frankfurter Tor station is close by. There’s also a small fast-food restaurant and kiosk open past midnight.
