Hotel 103

A decent, fairly cheap option by Berlin standards, especially for young people. Three of us shared a four-person room with our own bathroom. The room rate included breakfast.

For the price, it's a decent hotel, and the shared facilities are quite nice. The bed was really hard, even by European standards, and the pillow felt flimsy. I got hot in the room since there was no AC, which is normal enough, but there wasn't a fan either. The internet was mediocre, though usable.

The location and staff are what make Hotel 103 stand out for me. It's not fancy, but the room size and facilities are decent, and breakfast is free and very good. I'd stay here again 😊

The room didn't match the pictures online, and even after pre-booking a particular room, they may give you one of their many horrible alternatives. I think all the positive reviews are false, mostly fake accounts trying to make the place look better. The alley it's in feels dark and sketchy. The locks have all been replaced with cheap electronic ones, apparently after break-ins, which seem like they could be regular. It can take 20 minutes to get the door open even when sober. Good luck getting in after a couple of drinks. The place is old, run down, and poorly maintained. The lift barely works, the walls are paper thin and falling apart, and the stairs and handrails are old and unsafe. The room feels like a prison, with nothing in it except a tiny 90s CRT TV that doesn't pick up any stations. The bed is worse than a prison bed. There's no heater or air conditioning. You'd be better off sleeping at a bus stop.
