Hotel Bonverde

There are a lot of workers staying here, and the place isn't fancy. But the rooms are perfectly okay, there's a bit of cinematic charm, and the station is right there.

The room was disgusting, and the bathroom was worse. There's a kettle, but you have to use it on the floor. Half the rooms face a working train station, so don't expect quiet, and there isn't parking nearby. They give you an emergency number for room service, but nobody picks up.

The location is handy, right by the train station and bus stop, with taxis waiting nearby. They also have boxes for picking up and dropping off keys. I stayed two nights with my wife and kids, and we had a nice time. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Train noise didn't bother us, the windows seemed to block it well.

The pillows were the main letdown, big but flat and hollow, and the room was dim even in daytime, with about half the bulbs out. A mosquito net on the opening window would be useful. There isn't a big grocery store nearby, the closest is over 1 km away. That said, we were happy with our family stay and would come back or recommend it. The room was clean, comfortable and had what we needed. The heat worked, it wasn't cold, and there was always hot water. We had no trouble with station noise from our street-side room. Staff were helpful, and the reception girls were smiling and beautiful. Breakfast was simple but good, and the internet was fast. The hotel is in Wannsee Station, which gives easy access to plenty of transport. The area is peaceful and lovely, with an Italian restaurant in the hotel and other places to eat nearby.
