Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte

I was only there for one night. The reception staff were really nice and friendly, and the rooms were small but very clean. Mine was on the DG (Dachgeshos), the attic floor, number 6. The walls are thin, so I could hear the neighbors and couldn’t really sleep around 1 am because of their noise. I’m sure I could have asked them to keep it down, but chose not to. Just be aware that the rooms are small and the walls don’t block much sound. It’s a very good budget-friendly hotel.

The bar food was tasty and cheap, and I loved how clean and nice the hotel was. They had a special room with individual boxes for storing luggage, which was great. The only thing I’d suggest is adding more bulbs to brighten the rooms. Besides that, everything was perfect.

There’s a restaurant in the lobby with really fair prices, and a metro station just around the corner. Potsdammer Platz is about a 10/15-minute walk away. The location was good, the room clean and comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were great. WiFi worked pretty well, and the staff were very nice. Everything was great, nothing to complain about. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel feels very new inside, and there’s a starbucks in the lobby, handy for grabbing a coffee in the morning to take to your room. The price and quality are well balanced. The walls are quite thin, though, and don’t block sound, so you hear everything from everyone.
