Motel One Berlin-Upper West

The room was comfortable and very clean. I couldn’t find tea or coffee in it, and I didn’t spot a toaster at breakfast, though there may have been one. The rooftop bar draws lots of non-residents for the views, so it gets busy and finding a seat or getting served can be difficult. There’s no bar service, which made the wait even more frustrating. I was only there for a short stay.

We spent ages just hanging out on the rooftop, having long drinks, gossiping 🤭, and taking in the gorgeous views. The cocktails were delicious and the drinks were good quality. It’s a relaxed, international kind of place, and the staff were so kind and attentive. The four of us had a great time.

The 18th-floor views were amazing, and breakfast, cleanliness, and the overall atmosphere were all top notch. Staff were nice and service was good, too. The rooms are small, though, and the basic ones don’t have dressers or a kettle. For a night or two it works perfectly. Public transport is only a five-minute walk away.

The laundry service was quick and affordable, and there are restaurants and shops nearby, which made getting meals and doing a bit of shopping easy. My room was spacious, quiet, and clean, with fresh linens and a really comfortable bed. I also appreciated the free bottled water and coffee maker. Breakfast had lots to choose from, from fresh pastries and fruit to hot dishes. The staff were courteous and went out of their way to help with my requests. It made a great base for my trip, and I had a wonderful stay.
