The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I thought it was excellent value for money. It's a small, charming hotel in a quiet spot, not far from the centre. Tram stop, bakery, pharmacy, and supermarket are right outside, and there's a park fairly close by, though I wouldn't recommend it when it's cold and icy ;) There's no breakfast buffet, but the changing selection is thoughtfully chosen and more than enough.

The hotel itself was fine, but getting to its door at night was horrible. You have to go through a big gate and past the apartments, where bins outside had at least a dozen rats running around. We had to shine our phone torches to get past them on the way in.

Meh. I left after four days even though I was staying in Berlin longer. Maybe I booked during a pricey period, but I didn't feel I got enough for the money. It's a typical old Berlin apartment building converted on the cheap into a no-frills hotel. The courtyard is quirky and quiet, but sounds carry inside because there's no carpet and the doors are cheap. My room was tiny but very clean, with a comfortable bed and a decent shower. There was no fridge or safe, and the curtains didn't block the light at all, so bring an eye pillow. I skipped breakfast. The complimentary coffee was undrinkable, so probably the right call. The best thing is Super Shawarma across the street, which stays open late.

My room stayed quiet even though the hotel is in a busy spot, and Alexanderplatz was just a short tram ride away. There's a tram stop right outside, which makes the location really convenient. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, and I had a wonderful stay. I'd gladly return.

I spent five nights at the Old Town Hotel on Greifswalder and only wish I'd found it sooner. The room was cute and very quiet, with an excellent bed and a simple but good bathroom. I had breakfast there on my last day, and it was good value, with lots of fresh fruit and vegetarian or vegan options. The staff were helpful, the renovation is well done, and the place looks well kept. A big plus is the elevator they've added. The location in Prenzlauer Berg is great, with good connections to the rest of the city.
