Soho House Berlin

Such a cool, stylish hotel, with comfy rooms, delicious food, and consistently amazing music. Loved the whole atmosphere, a great place to relax!

The hotel has a lively, vibrant feel, a well-equipped gym, and an excellent Italian restaurant on the ground floor. The location isn’t the best for exploring Berlin, and room prices are higher than at more luxurious hotels.

The rooms at Soho House Berlin are beautiful. Honestly, I’d suggest staying in your room, since it seems to be the only part of the hotel that works. Everything else felt chaotic. Reception was unreliable, the club tables looked like they hadn’t been wiped in weeks, and most staff came across as rude. One woman was genuinely helpful, but everyone else seemed more suited to a budget hostel than a so-called five-star hotel. “Alignment with Soho House values” doesn’t excuse laziness. It isn’t charming, community spirit, or cool. It’s unprofessional. That attitude might make sense somewhere guests stay for free and staff aren’t paid, but at full price I expect the basics of hospitality. At one point I felt I was doing more work than the staff. When I politely reminded them that service is their job, they somehow took offense. Quite an experience.

Service was slow and distracted, with staff seeming more interested in their own conversations than looking after guests. During the private event I attended, I also heard several staff members gossiping openly about families, other guests, and even a new colleague. It felt personal and out of place in a hospitality setting, and left me concerned about discretion and professionalism at a members’ club. For a venue with Soho House’s reputation and standards, the evening fell well short.
