St Christopher's Apartments

The lively atmosphere, bar and common areas made it easy to meet other travelers, and the simple rooms were comfortable. St Christopher’s Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz is well placed near Alexanderplatz and public transport, so getting around Berlin was easy. It worked well for a short visit.

The location made it easy to get to major attractions and shopping, and the room was spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated, with comfortable bedding. Staff were warm, attentive and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The pool area was pristine, the fitness center was well equipped, and the restaurant on site served delicious meals with excellent service.

We had a private room for two, and there was plenty of space for a couple of nights. The beds were much comfier than we expected, and even though the hostel is above a bar and accessed through it, our room stayed quiet and we slept well. We arrived a couple of hours before check-in. The staff let us complete the process and gave us the key, so when check-in opened at 3 p.m. we could go straight to the room. They also showed us where to leave our bags until it was ready. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. We skipped breakfast, so I can’t say how it was, but people having it seemed to enjoy it. I’d stay here again if I come back to Berlin and would recommend it to friends or family planning a trip.

Rooms are large, basic and warm. Room 42 was women-only, with just two of the four bunk beds occupied. It had a bath with a shower over it and two separate toilets with basins. Room 41 shared those wash facilities and also had a huge kitchen, dining and lounge area. The hostel is well located, surrounded by food options for all budgets, entertainment and shops. Alexanderplatz train station is a modest walk away, and the U-Bahn is right nearby.
