The best part for me was the silence. I didn't hear a thing, making it the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've experienced, and the bathroom was large and well equipped. Every staff member was kind, helpful and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely stay again.

The room was a bit gloomy, especially with a view of the building's interior. The hotel itself is decent, clean and central, and breakfast for 16 Euros was good. But the AC couldn't cool the room properly, so I wouldn't want to stay here in the middle of summer. The internet was really slow too. I paid an extra 8 Euros per day for "fast" internet, but the download speed barely reached 3 MBit. That's just not acceptable. If your internet is poor, don't charge for it.

The breakfast buffet was delicious and nicely decorated, and the large rooms facing the central atrium were clean and quiet. Staff gave us a warm, friendly welcome. The location is ideal, right at the Kudamm and near Gedächtniskirche, with subway station Zoologischer Garten just a 5 min walk away. Personally, I'll be glad to return.

We got a spacious, nice room, but the linen and bed were very hard, and the pillow was tiny. My room also had awful phone reception. At breakfast the next morning, the kind host seated us at a dirty table. I ordered pancakes, then had to explain to a waiter why I wanted syrup when I went to look for it. Check-in had been quick, but the receptionist said my card was declined and that I needed to pay the deposit again. The first attempt had already reserved the deposit, so I had to show him my bank statement in the Bank App. I can't understand the 5 star rating. Based on my experience, I'd give this hotel 3 stars at most.
