My dad and I stopped at Toms Wurst on our last vacation day to try the famous German currywurst, and it was a lovely surprise. The owner was nice, the food was good and light, relatively speaking, and the curry mixed into ketchup and mayonnaise was a new discovery for me. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re nearby.

After a long day, I came by for something to eat and it really hit the spot. The owner was lovely, the service was quick, and the curry wurst was even better. There’s outdoor seating under cover, so you can still enjoy your food when it rains. Highly recommend!

I’m usually not much of a sausage person, but currywurst is something I think you should try if you haven’t had it before coming to Berlin. I’d take this small local place over a tourist chain any day. The sausage had a lovely crispness, and the chips were fresh and perfectly golden. I go to Belgium fairly often, so I can say they were really high quality. The serving was huge. As an Asian woman I could barely manage it, but I finished it because it was just that delicious. The owner was lovely too, always smiling, gentle, and polite, and spoke excellent English. That made the visit especially memorable.

A pretty solid Currywurst. Google seems to think this place is a hotel or something, so don’t read anything into the missing room stars. Maybe that’d be different if I could sleep on the shop floor.

I don’t see how this place earned such exceptional scores. The fries were dry in the middle and overcooked, and the currywurst wasn’t very juicy either.
