Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Berlin Potsdamer Platz

Even arriving late at night, I got a lovely welcome, which was a nice surprise. My corner room, number 216 on the second floor, had a big comfy bed, a large plasma TV, a spacious walk-in shower, and great decor. Everything was clean and well organized, and the ground-floor lobby was a good space to spend time in. I didn’t notice the nearby train at all, and noise never made me uncomfortable. The staff were really helpful throughout. I loved staying here, especially given how many Berlin bookings at this price aren’t as welcoming or appealing. Didn’t get around to breakfast, maybe next time. Cheers!

We’d happily come back. The room was spacious, warm, and very clean, and having a gym was a nice bonus. Getting into the hotel was easy. Across the road there’s a great brewery, and the tram is only a couple of minutes away with a direct ride into the city. Highly recommend it!

We asked during booking for a room away from the train tracks, and the hotel sorted that without any trouble. The room wasn’t especially large, but it was comfortable, with good window insulation and a roomy shower, even though the bathroom itself was on the small side. The U-Bahn lines are about a three-minute walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and think it’s a good choice for a long weekend.

I chose this hotel mainly because it’s near the Tempodrom, but the price really wasn’t justified. This was my worst stay in Berlin so far, and next time I’ll look more carefully. Our room on the third floor faced the elevated railway, and the noise was awful well into the night. There was also a horrible smell in the corridor. We got just one small bottle of water for two people. The room’s interior was decent, at least. Check-in was frustrating too: the staff barely spoke English and didn’t say much, so I had to ask for every detail about the stay. Parking is extremely limited and you can’t reserve a spot, which makes getting one almost impossible. There’s nowhere set aside to unload bags, and the nearest public parking is an inconvenient ten-minute walk.
