This family run hotel has its own atmosphere and style, so it won’t suit you if you want somewhere modern. I was surprised by the negative comments I’d seen on Google and booking.com, because I think it’s underrated. Our room was spacious and the bathroom spotless, and there’s a handy car park behind the hotel. It’s in a quiet area, with two stations within walking distance. Breakfast is a buffet with a good choice of cold meats, cheese, fruit and bread. We’ll stay again next time we’re in Berlin.

We got the last available cheap room, and it was reasonably priced, clean, and had a great bathroom. Breakfast was very good too. There’s free, secure parking in the yard, so we left the car and took the U-Bahn instead. Two stations are about five minutes away. I’d consider staying here again when I return to Berlin.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, but room 17 was a huge shock, especially the bathroom. There was black mold and the shower tray was cracked, with sharp edges under a disgusting rubber mat. There were cobwebs and a spider too. Look at the photos, they say enough.

It has a traditional feel, with a fireplace and a lovely hall, plus a coffee machine and a vending machine for a late night snack. Breakfast was delicious and had good options, and the service was the best. Check-in and check-out were both hassle free. The mansion is a little outside the city, but buses and trains are easy to reach. I recommend it 👍

The biggest issue is how much noise comes through between rooms. This hotel probably isn’t a great fit for families with children. The room was clean, breakfast was simple, and a few more fresh vegetables would have been nice. It’s well located near public transport, and we had a nice stay for a very decent price.
