W22 Hotel am Kurfürstendamm

The place is a little dated, but it has its charm and was mostly very clean. Staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable, and I had no problems during my three nights :)

I loved my stay. The rooms were clean and had hot water, with tea available if you wanted to warm up. The train station and restaurants are just a few minutes away, and Mall of Berlin is about seven minutes away. The self check-in was the best I’ve heard of so far, and the person handling reservations was responsive and helpful. The only downside is there’s no breakfast unless you’re part of a big group.

For the price, this is a very good hotel. It’s clean, in a good location near the center and very close to the metro. The hot water was good, and the pillows and mattresses were really comfortable. The woman at reception was very polite. If you want the room cleaned or towels changed, just let the staff know. One thing to keep in mind: if you’re very sensitive to noise, bring earplugs, because the floor creaks when someone walks around in the room. Apart from that, everything was very good.

The room and bathroom were a good size, the mattress was comfortable, and there was a mini fridge. It’s near the U-Bahn. The rooms need some refurbishment, though, and the hotel is in a private building where only the room doors close. Some things were broken, reception is only open from 12-18.00, and there’s no breakfast or soap. Room cleaning isn’t automatic either, you have to ask or leave a message for reception.
