We’d booked an outside table two days ahead, but had trouble getting it and the staff then completely ignored us. It was easily the rudest treatment I’ve had in any restaurant. They made it so obvious they wanted us gone that we left. There are plenty of nice restaurants up in the old town, so I wouldn’t bother with this one.

The location is central, the rooms are quaint, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant across the way served some of the best food I’ve ever had. I ordered grilled salmon with potatoes and cooked spinach.

Indian food fans will be delighted here, and German dishes are on the menu too. The food is good and the service friendly. For seasonal specials, check the chalkboard or notice board out on the street. Before Christmas I had the roast goose leg, which was tender and delicious. The other dishes we’d enjoyed on earlier visits were good too. Highly recommended.

It was busy, but service was still quick and friendly. We loved the terrace and the location, and the food was delicious, with lots of vegan choices, especially Indian dishes. We had Aloo Gobi and Baingan Bharta, both super tasty. Highly recommended for vegans visiting Bernkastel Kues!
