Haus im Donautal

We had a lovely, relaxed welcome for our two-night stay. Our room had a shower and was very clean. Guests can keep drinks in the hallway refrigerator, and there’s a small snack area downstairs with a coffee machine. The station is right next door, though with the windows closed we couldn’t hear the trains. The garden is a nice place to unwind. We’d love to come back and enjoy another short break with such wonderful hosts! 🫶🏻

Breakfast was generous, with everything you could want and especially delicious bread rolls. The host greets you warmly in person, and the house is comfortable, stylish, and in excellent condition. If you’re in the front room, keep the windows shut or the early train may wake you. It’s a great place to set off on hikes in the beautiful Danube Valley.

We’ll certainly return to Haus Donautal for another break. This charming guesthouse is in a historic building, with lovingly renovated rooms and friendly, accommodating hosts. Breakfast was good, and we enjoyed the view over the beautifully landscaped, well-kept garden. The many other excellent reviews have already covered the rest of the amenities.

The house and garden were spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the hosts were very friendly. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of variety. Haus Donautal is a handy starting point for hikes and train trips, and the area works well for long bike rides too. We’d gladly come back.
