We loved the location and the view from our rooms. We were on the second floor, and the rooms were well insulated, so we couldn’t hear the trams. The beds were great, the rooms were clean, and the staff were super friendly. We were also able to check in early, with our two rooms right next to each other. We stayed for three nights for a dancing festival, and I’d happily come back if I’m in the city again. There were a couple of snags. The AC controls were confusing, and one unit seemed different from the other, maybe broken, though the room stayed warm enough and it wasn’t a big deal. Our room wasn’t serviced and we didn’t get fresh towels, while the other room did get serviced. We’d asked for an iron and board and got them, along with extra hangers, but had to carry everything upstairs ourselves. I thought they’d be brought to the rooms.

The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. The room was nice, and breakfast was good too. It would help to label clearly which items are vegan.

The rooms were decent and the service was great, but breakfast wasn’t very good. Being right by the tram tracks may not be ideal, either. I’d probably choose somewhere else next time.

The room was comfortable and everything worked well, and the service was excellent. Restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away on foot. The hallways were a different story. There was a damp, stale smell, and the carpets need cleaning. For over a week, I kept seeing the same toothpicks, mud, and dirt there. My room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly either, and I found raisins scattered around. The dining area was being renovated and left a lot to be desired. The bar is very small.

The team were attentive and supportive throughout my comfortable stay at Ibis Styles Bielefeld. I especially want to thank Dennis and the team for helping with a personal item I’d left behind. They acted quickly and kept me clearly informed, which made a real difference. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay with staff who take guest needs seriously.
