The setting around the hotel is really unique, and the owner was very welcoming. It’s a lovely, cosy place to stay and definitely worth a visit.

At €74 for a double room, the price is very reasonable. The village sits picturesquely on a hill, which makes it a good base for skiing or cycling. Just be aware that the Landgasthof is a guesthouse, not a hotel: there’s no lavish breakfast buffet, internet access, or hallways kept lit all the time. The owners are very polite, though they speak only German. There is a restaurant, but the food is frozen supermarket fare. We were served butter and cheese past their expiry date at breakfast. On the plus side, it was clean and the bathtub water was warm.

We had the spinach dumplings and pork tenderloin, and both were excellent. The draft beer and dark beer were great too. Service was quick and friendly, and the outdoor seating was lovely. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly, which earns the two stars, but this place really doesn't suit bikers. There’s no covered motorcycle parking or drying room, the heating doesn't work, and the shower has almost no water pressure. The bathroom silicone is moldy, and you can't get food after 8 pm. The stairs are a nightmare for older or disabled guests, and finding the stairwell light switches in the dark feels like winning the lottery. The beds creak and the walls are paper-thin.
