We only ate at the restaurant, not at the hotel. The waiters and staff were funny, friendly, and always ready to help. The traditional German menu at Seehof am Aratalsee delivered on both quality and quantity: the food was great, looked vibrant, and came in large portions that filled us up. A great choice for a mid-range lunch or dinner if you want a generous meal that’s also good.

The playground was a lifesaver for our boys, who were 3 and 5, and made the evenings easy for all of us. They played while we sat with an Aperol spritz and enjoyed the lake view on warm summer nights. The beach at the Artalsee and the nearby area gave us plenty to do, and the restaurant on the beach is worth checking out too. We stayed at Seehof for over six weeks while our new house was being built in a nearby village. It was two adults and two young children, in two rooms in the side building. We’ve seen the hotel steadily improve its facilities and offerings under the excellent new management. They’re trying out great new dishes in the restaurant, including the Tagliatelle Al Salmon, which is incredible if they can make it for you. The rooms are being refreshed and upgraded, and the outdoor areas already look great. The staff are genuinely lovely, friendly, and flexible. We can’t praise them enough, and we absolutely recommend staying here!
