The rooms carry sound a bit, which was a downside for us. Still, the owners were super friendly, the setting was wonderfully quiet, and the nightly price was excellent. The apartment had good equipment, though there's no washing machine, so we bought laundry soap and washed our sweaty clothes in the sink. A grocery store is about a 10-minute walk away, and Königssee is roughly 10-15 minutes by car. Other tourist spots are quick to reach too.
You can get around on foot if you like, and I thought the nightly rate was very reasonable. The kitchen had everything from forks to pots, and bed linen and towels were provided. Fresh rolls can also be ordered and brought to the door from 6:30 in the morning. As for the room, its facilities and the view, all were fantastic. Just a beautiful apartment, really top-notch 👍
The hosts are so nice, and the apartment is beautiful. I'd gladly stay there again and can definitely recommend it.
The whole apartment was very clean, and the bedroom and bathroom were fine. The kitchen had a stove, oven, toaster, coffee maker and kettle, though there wasn't much in the way of dishes, pots or cutlery. I had small gripes about the non-adjustable bed slats and very thin pillows. The secluded setting and view of the Watzmann aren't quite as advertised, but that didn't bother us. Dog owners should know that dogs have to stay on a leash and can't run free. I'd recommend it if you aren't expecting too much.
Just before we arrived, water damage affected the apartment we'd booked, so the lovely landlady moved us to a larger room without any fuss. The setting is a little secluded, which makes it peaceful and quiet.
