Ressel Mansion

The location was quiet and relaxing, and the price felt fair. The lake was only five minutes away by bike, with plenty of room there to enjoy the peace. We also had supermarkets, bakeries, and restaurants nearby. We found this large holiday apartment by chance on Booking.com. The landlord was pleasant to communicate with, and the apartment had most things we needed. It comfortably fits four, though there were three of us. There were a few small cleaning issues: crumbs in the cutlery drawer, the dishwasher needed emptying, and chicken drumsticks from the previous guests were left in the microwave. Still, the stay was AMAZING!

We booked an apartment here for August 28th to 30th, 2020. After our six-hour drive, on the day we were due to arrive, my husband got an email from the landlord asking whether we could cancel. They asked him to call back but gave no phone number, and said they could arrange somewhere else for us. He only saw the message that evening, then emailed the landlord. There was no response. We’ve tried contacting them repeatedly since, and they still haven’t replied. We’d really like our money back, though I doubt that will happen. Luckily we managed to find another place at short notice. This is outrageous, and after seeing the reviews, which we should have checked earlier, I’m not surprised. I can only warn people against booking here.
