The rooms were clean and in good shape, but that didn't make up for the noise at night or the poor ventilation that made it hard to sleep. The church bells ring every 15 minutes, so keeping the window open isn't an option. It only got quiet enough for us to sleep after 3 a.m. We received the hotel as part of a Sauschwäzlebahn package. It's about 5 km from Blumberg Zollhaus station and 6 km from Blumberg, and the remote location seems reflected in the restaurant prices. They only take cash, no credit cards. I can't recommend it.

The people were friendly, and the room and food were good value for money. It can feel less cozy when there are large groups around, though. If you're after a family hotel, I'd skip this one.

I was there with a group of tourists from Latvia and really enjoyed the vacation. A lovely place with lovely people, and a great break from the craziness of the city.

Nothing was especially bad, and the staff weren't particularly unfriendly, but there wasn't much to recommend either. The food was below average. I'd avoid it if good food matters to you.
