The location is quite good, though the entrance is right beside a bar, or really a club. The hotel description was far from accurate: there was a TV but no remote, no kettle despite it being described, and nothing seemed as advertised. The shared toilet is in the hallway, shared by four or five rooms, and it was either always occupied or smelled terrible. The shower was completely broken. Staff also came into the room and, for some reason, took a blanket off the bed. Then they suddenly charged extra for tourist tax, which made no sense. It was incredibly noisy too. There was nowhere to hang a jacket or anything else, no wardrobe, and the towels were much too small. It isn’t suitable for people with disabilities, and putting four people in such a small room is inhumane. The price was far too high. The view was just a photo taken from the room: you could only see into another apartment and out to a parasol at a cocktail bar in the red-light district. It might be okay for one night if you can’t find anything else suitable, but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it. An absolute disaster.

The location works well if partying on the Reeperbahn is the main plan, and for a tight budget and just one night to sleep, it might do. The hotel itself felt very dated. Our small room had four single beds squeezed in, no table, side tables, or clothes hooks, and just one medium towel per person. It smelled musty, and there was no smoke detector. The entrance is partly inside a club, which felt very unpleasant for women in the evenings. The door could only be locked by turning the key from inside, and there was a general lack of attention to detail.

Stay away. The whole hotel smelled awful, and you could barely hear the staff. There was just one toilet and one shower for six rooms. The toilet had no sink or window. They also charged us a flat fee for the city of Hamburg, and I have no idea whether that's standard practice. I'd give it zero stars if I could. All in all, a real dump.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. It felt more like a horror movie set than a hotel, and I'd give it zero stars if that were possible. The whole building smelled really strong and was dirty and run-down. There was one bathroom for six rooms, and the beds felt about as comfortable as concrete. Behind the closet we found old, moldy towels. It was -6 degrees outside, and the heating didn't work. The staff spoke very unclearly and seemed to understand almost no German. They also stayed in our room when we weren't there, despite being clearly told they weren't welcome, and didn't even clean it.

If all you need is somewhere right by the clubs after a night out, this may be OK. We booked it for a girls' trip, though, and the room already smelled strongly of beer when we arrived. It looked like a child's bedroom in a social housing apartment. The door had clearly been broken into and wouldn't close unless we turned the key. We got in around 7 pm while renovations were still happening next door, and the power went out briefly several times. The staff member's comment, "If anything happens, we're not here for 24 hours," left us confused. The walls are so thin that you hear EVERY sound from neighboring rooms.
