Novum Hotel Eleazar City Center

The staff were really nice, the beds comfortable and the rooms clean. We had a lovely continental breakfast too. The main downside was how small the rooms were. The location was great, with everything not far away.

Room service was perfect, and the hotel is right in central Hamburg, which worked well. The bed was comfy and the room was great. We could hear other guests next door at night and noise outside the window too, although I know that’s not something the hotel can necessarily change. Breakfast was alright, nothing special, and I think a bigger selection would be nice.

The location is good, but the room was cramped and much too small for the price. The top hinge on the window glass was broken, and it seemed like it might fall as soon as I tried to open it. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t very good either. We later found nearby hotels with better rooms for half the price, so I’d suggest looking elsewhere in the area.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was the only good part, though even that was just average. The room itself was small and dusty, with a spider in one corner, no instructions for the safe, and a horribly tiny bathroom. It’s five minutes from the train station, but we didn’t feel very safe in the very dirty neighborhood. The walls are thin enough that we heard our loud neighbors all night, and on rainy days there was an unpleasant sound from the walls. Having to use a key instead of a keycard was inconvenient too. We didn’t enjoy our stay, though for the price it was alright.
