Hotel Bellmoor Im Dammtorpalais

It's an old-fashioned, friendly hotel with classic rooms, a great breakfast, and a convenient spot for the CCH or U Hamburg. The building has six different hotels on different floors, which is a little odd at first, but staying here feels small and quaint within a much larger building.

The room looked nice and was listed as deluxe, but the bed was very hard and the duvets were short and heavy. I woke at 4 am because people were talking loudly. The staff were friendly, though one person smoked inside and made the whole floor stink of cigarettes. Utterly unacceptable!

The place has character, with old-fashioned furnishings and a creaky hallway floor. From inside our rooms, though, we couldn't hear anything bothersome. We had a double room and a room for three, and everyone found the beds comfortable; both bathrooms were very clean. The staff were friendly to us and courteous to some other guests who were rather demanding. We'd definitely stay again. It's perfect if you want bed and breakfast in the city center.

The rooms were neat and clean, and breakfast was very nice, made individually so it was always fresh. Just remember that Sunday breakfast doesn't start until 8.00. There are several hotels at this same address, and this one's check-in is on the 4th floor, with half of the 3rd floor.
