The hotel cancelled my room booking two weeks later without giving a reason. Their website still shows availability, and nobody answers the phone. Maybe it’s just terrible communication, or maybe it’s deliberate. Either way, it doesn’t feel like Michelin Key material.

Our room had wide lake views and private access to the lake for swimming. Inside the shell of a beautiful historic building, the hotel feels contemporary, with spacious rooms and luxurious accommodation. The experienced staff were attentive, friendly, and very helpful to English speakers travelling in Germany. We also had a fantastic meal at the Michelin star restaurant on the property.

Breakfast came with views across the lake, and our room had that same stunning view. The showers were luxurious, and there’s a lovely walk from the hotel. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. I’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone.
