We’d booked two single rooms, but when we arrived to check in around 7 p.m., the door was locked. There was no doorbell, the sign had been ripped off, and there were no lights or curtains in the windows. It seemed like the only thing still operating was the online booking system. The answering machine gave a mobile number, but calling it just reached another answering machine. Nobody called back or responded at all. We contacted the neighboring hotel, and they waved us away, saying we should be glad we hadn’t paid in advance. Don’t book!
