Residenz Seestern

WE13 is a modern, nicely furnished apartment that works well for two. The area is very quiet, and you can relax on the balcony. There's no Wi-Fi, but for a holiday where you're hoping to unwind, that wasn't a big deal. The beach is under a five-minute walk away, and shops are easy to reach too.

We found Börgerende a good starting point for walks along the beach and bike rides in either direction, always near the Baltic Sea. Rostock is close, and Bad Doberan is handy for coffee and cake. The Baltic Sea is simply beautiful and does you good. Apartment W13 in Seestern Residence on Parkstrasse is on the first floor of a building with eight apartments. It's suitable for two and has a south-west-facing balcony, though there's no sea view. The apartment matched its description and was fully equipped, but we couldn't use the microwave during our two-week stay because the glass turntable was missing. We reported that straight away, but it wasn't fixed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There are small and large TVs in the bedroom and living room. We brought our own bedding and only had to change the mattress, which measures 180 x 200 cm. On arrival, there was a roll of toilet paper, a dish towel, a dishwasher tablet, a dishcloth, and a small bottle of dish soap. We bought liquid soap in a dispenser for the bathroom and left it for the next guests, assuming it hadn't been removed because of COVID-19. The balcony has two wooden loungers, two chairs, a small table, and a beach chair, but we didn't use them because packing and securing everything felt like too much hassle. The bike storage room is very small and holds at most five bikes. Any others have to stay outside, which is a shame when people have expensive e-bikes. Both the beach and the kiosk for breakfast rolls are about 500 meters away. There isn't a proper bakery with a café in town. Börgerende is fairly quiet, with two pizzerias, an Asian restaurant, a sushi place, an ice cream parlor, and a waterfront restaurant. At the western end, snack stands selling fish, crepes, rustic food, beer, and ice cream stay open until 7 p.m.; there's also a small fish restaurant that's open in the mornings.

The apartment was super clean and well cared for. The service was really friendly, and they were always happy to answer questions. I can absolutely recommend it to everyone. A dream!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in the "Strandlounge" penthouse. It's a great apartment for unwinding, and we'll definitely come back.
