The beach is around 150 to 200 meters away, and you can take the car lift down to the underground parking garage. The apartment itself is a dream, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large balcony, and it's perfectly furnished for four people. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. Highly recommend it, and we'll stay here again next year.

The apartment itself was really nice and deserves 4.5 stars, but the service in this case gets zero. It was generally well equipped except for a missing balcony parasol. When the oven stopped working, we ended up with a burnt meal and had wasted our groceries for the next day. The service office said no technician was available on Sunday, which is understandable. But there was no offer of a small discount, restaurant voucher, or waiver of the beach chair rental fee, which is provided by the same company. We were told to take that up with a supervisor. Five days later, we'd still had no reply to the fault we reported verbally and by email. A bit of straightforward cooperation could have sorted it out in five minutes. That's what left the bad impression.

Cafes, restaurants and shops are nearby, and it's quiet and idyllic, close to the Conventer Nature Reserve. The beach at Börgerende is only 50-100 meters away. This is a lovely little holiday complex, with about 20 apartments, so it feels small but perfectly formed. We stayed in unit 15, which had a large terrace and was just two minutes from the beach. We'll definitely be back.

As usual, we had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly.
