Aparthotel Alma Bonn

There was no WiFi network at all, despite the internet being advertised. When I asked, one staff member laughed at me and another acted as if they didn’t know the password. The room was dirty too, with hair on the sheets and stains on the towels. The location isn’t ideal for visiting Bonn city center. Most upsetting, I noticed my headphones were missing after I got home, and my phone showed their last known location at the hotel. I called several times and staff took down my details, but nobody followed up. Several friends even went by to ask in person, but nobody opened the door. The headphones are gone. I absolutely don’t recommend this place and will never return.

After waiting outside for 30 minutes in the cold, in what felt like an unsafe neighborhood, we still couldn’t check in because staff couldn’t get the kiosk working. We’d arrived half an hour before check-in and were told, loudly and rudely, to wait outside until the proper time, then enter our details at the kiosk. After an hour, we called Booking.com, cancelled, and booked Hotel Mozart in Bonn city centre. That was the best decision. This is pathetic, refugee-style accommodation, not a hotel. The area felt terrible and especially unsafe at night.

I was happy with the room and the service, but I still haven’t managed to get my invoice. I’ve been trying for several weeks and have sent multiple emails and made several calls without getting what I need. I hope they see this and improve how they communicate with clients.

Two weeks later, I’m still asking for a refund for the double charge on my card. Please reply to my emails with confirmation of the payment. This feels criminal. Why put someone through this? It’s the worst lack of professionalism I’ve seen in Germany.
