The owner made a great breakfast, and the hospitality was lovely. The hotel was so clean it made me say wow. I had a perfect stay, thank you! Don’t judge it by its cover.

The location made getting around easy, with a bus or tram stop about three minutes away and the main markets and squares a short walk from there. Breakfast was generous: fruit, cold cuts and cheese, croissants, German breads, yogurt, cereal, tea, and coffee. I was watching my budget, so I brought a reusable lunch box and saved some of it for later. The team who run the hotel also own the restaurant downstairs, and they were lovely. My room had modern furnishings, was clean, and had a firm, comfortable bed. The shower got very hot and had strong pressure. One odd detail was that the large queen bed came with just one pillow and a duvet sized for a single bed. It didn’t bother me, and maybe that was because I was traveling alone. I’m sure they’d have brought another pillow if I’d asked. The room was very, very expensive and breakfast wasn’t included, though that might have been because the UNFCCC conference was happening. Prices on the website seemed reasonable. The weak point was the wifi: it was insecure, unreliable, and kept dropping during my work video calls. The password-protected reception network barely reached my room. They should invest in secure wifi that works for business travelers. Still, I had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

What stood out for me was how peaceful it was, along with the warm, personal service from the friendly owners. Everything was clean, convenient, and worked as it should, and breakfast was great too. It may not look like much from outside, but it’s a hidden gem. No wonder so many reviews give it five stars. I’d happily recommend it.
