Boutiquehotel Dreesen, Villa Godesberg

Our room was hot in May, and there was no fan or air conditioning. Opening the window let the hot air in. The in-room tea and coffee was pretty poor too, just two packets of instant coffee, no tea, and two little creamers. We were on the second floor, but there’s no lift, and staff didn’t offer to help carry our heavy bags up the steep stairs. Service was very disappointing. The two Villas look attractive from outside, but inside they’re a little tired. I’m not sure why this is called a Boutique Hotel, it didn’t feel boutique to me.

The breakfast was great, and my room was clean and a decent size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a pleasant stay, and if I visit Bonn again, I’ll definitely stay at Villa Godesberg.

The area and building were nice, and breakfast was fine. We stayed on our way to Austria, but the reserved car charger didn’t work. There was nobody at reception, and no one picked up the emergency line, so it was impossible to get in touch.

The rooms are smaller than their Asian counterparts, as you’d expect in Europe, but they were neat and clean. It’s a lovely boutique hotel, and the people were friendly and excellent at coordinating whatever we needed. The staff were very thoughtful.
