Möhringers Schwarzwaldhotel

I expected something luxurious for the price, but it felt very dated, more like the 2000s, and not as impressive as the photos. The restaurant seemed low class, there was no air conditioning or music, and the bright direct light at night was too much. The spa was okay, but there was no hot jacuzzi. Some staff were great, while others indirectly criticized us for ordering too much food. I was hungry, but left my Schnicel because it was very dry and came without sauce. Lidl across the street had much better quality sandwiches. It also seemed like mostly older people came here, perhaps because of memories from the past.

I spent three days here on a business trip and found the rooms comfortable and very clean. The indoor pool was amazing, especially in winter. Breakfast had less variety than I'm used to back home, but everything I tried was delicious. It's a lovely hotel in Bonndorf, and I hope to return.

The pool is a real highlight, and there's a pleasant outdoor area for breakfast. The hotel also offers plenty of leisure activities, with Titisee and the thermal bath "Badeparadies Titisee" fairly close by. My room had everything I needed, was tidy and very clean, quiet at night, and stayed at a comfortable temperature despite the heat. The staff were friendly and there whenever I needed them. Breakfast and dinner both tasted great, with lots of choices. Möhrringers Hotel is the best I've stayed at, better than the 5-star Hilton at Munich airport and the Clarion hotel in Helsinki. I'd recommend it if you want to relax and still have things to do nearby.
