We had dinner in the attached Italian restaurant on our first night, and the food and service were great. Breakfast was fine, and parking by the river nearby cost only 4 euros per day from 8:00-18:00. Our room was roomy and very clean, with a lovely balcony view over the Rhine. The woman who checked us in was lovely, though the man at check-in wasn’t very pleasant or helpful.

The food was okay for a reasonable price, and the toilets and bar looked clean. Service was mixed, though. Some staff wore their own clothes rather than uniforms. We went for dinner because the place was busy and seemed like it should be good. My partner ordered a calzone and I ordered a Parma ham pizza, but the waiter brought a Parma ham starter with melon instead. He didn’t apologize and blamed me for ordering incorrectly, though another waiter stepped in and apologized. They also forgot to bring proper pizza knives, so cutting through it was tough. When my pizza finally arrived, it was basically a Margherita with ham added on top. It tasted okay, but that was about it. At the end, I checked the bill along with the waiter to make sure I wasn’t charged for the starter they’d brought by mistake. The first waiter, who still hadn’t apologized and had made me look foolish, said the change was fine. That cost them their last chance at a tip.

The food is really delicious, and the service is amazing. The waiters are always awesome. Such a beautiful restaurant, and it’s always a real pleasure to eat there. Totally recommended.

We booked a cooking class for our company party of 11, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was phenomenal in both quality and taste, and special praise goes to the chef. The hotel is modern and clean, with very comfortable rooms. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
