We had a nice evening, with very tasty food and a lot of care put into the plating. Quite a few things were already sold out by 19:30, though, which was a pity.

The lunch was a dream: asparagus soup, mixed salad, asparagus with hollandaise, squash topped with toasted breadcrumbs, and dessert. There were five of us, and when I called a few weeks earlier to ask whether the vegetarian could have fish instead of veal schnitzel, I was told no. That was fine. But when we arrived yesterday, they immediately asked who was vegetarian and offered us delicious salmon. I hadn't expected that at all. Such great service, exactly how you want to be looked after as a guest. If we're back in Borken, we'll definitely stop there again.
