Update, one year later: the cleanliness and service are still very good, but the key card remains temperamental. We also felt that money might be being saved on the food, as quite a few items tasted like frozen or fast food. Our room was at the far end of the third floor, where the internet was much slower. On our first stay we felt very welcome. The hotel is central for shopping, and the beach and promenade are just a few steps away. Staff were friendly and quick, housekeeping cleaned thoroughly every day, and the internet was stable and fast. The downside was the tiny, very slow elevator near reception. The one at the other end of the hotel is bigger and much faster. The room key card also kept malfunctioning, so people were changing cards almost daily. It worked sometimes and failed other times.

The internet didn't work, and the interior was ghastly, cheap-looking, and tasteless. There wasn't even a piece of fruit at breakfast. Staff ignored the do not disturb signs to get us out at 10am. This place is a complete disaster, really deserves zero stars.
