The kitchen was barely equipped, with dirty dishes and hardly any of them, and no salt, sugar or pepper. The wardrobes looked so flimsy I didn't want to touch them in case they fell apart. The bathroom light was nearly useless, and the bedside lamp couldn't be used because there was no adapter. We also had to move the TV from the windowsill onto the table to watch it. When we arrived, staff only showed us our room after we asked, and gave us the impression they cared more about taking our money than looking after guests. We made the best of it, but it was a disappointment and a waste of money.

We found the place quiet, the beds comfortable, and the apartment clean, well kept and stocked with what you need. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was the one drawback for us: it felt like everything was a 20-30 minute walk away 😬🤣, though that's a matter of preference. If you enjoy hiking, it shouldn't put you off booking.

The apartment has a lovely layout and is furnished with care. The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we were very happy with our stay. We'd gladly return and warmly recommend Haus Kormoran to anyone holidaying on Borkum.

I stayed here for a short break with my young daughter, and we'd love to come again. The apartment was modern, lovely, clean and tidy, and the owner was so friendly and helpful. It was also nice being away from the city's busy center. A perfect holiday.
