Breakfast had a wonderful range, and housekeeping was good. We were comfortable inside, and the reception staff were charming and helpful, even though the building itself is an ugly concrete block from the 80s. Our room had a huge window seat with a fantastic view of the Buda palace. The only things I'd change were the lighting, since we couldn't switch on just a reading lamp, and the lack of a minibar price list. Thanks, Marriott, for a lovely stay.

The location is what you're paying for, since the price felt far too high for what we got. The room was outdated. Check-in was supposed to be between 16:00 and 20:00, but we arrived a little early and found no one at reception. There was an intercom, but we still had to wait. One worker spoke English perfectly; the receptionist didn't, so be ready to use a translator app or learn a little German. After reading so many reviews, I was already a bit unsure what to expect, and wanted to give an honest account.

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and breakfast was great. We arrived a little early to leave our bags before a concert, since we didn't want to be late or carry them along, but we weren't allowed to store them anywhere. The hotel was locked, and the receptionist spoke only German.

The reception staff were kind, and parking was free. Breakfast was provided at no charge and was good. It works for an overnight stay, though the beds creaked whenever I turned over, and the toilets had no locks, which felt a bit uncomfortable.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with fans and comfortable beds. Breakfast had plenty of everything. For the price and what we got, I have no complaints.
