We could walk to the cathedral, the new town, and the old town from the apartment. The building has several nicely furnished holiday flats with balconies, and the people we met were friendly and helpful. We also got plenty of information from the landlords after booking. The place is at a busy traffic light, but the soundproof windows and balconies at the back kept things peaceful. Parking is limited, and you only learn your assigned space and get the entrance remote when you arrive. Until then, you can leave the car at the cathedral car park, about 300 metres away.

My wife and I got married that weekend, and relatives visiting from Thuringia stayed in some of the other apartments. We were all so happy with them! We stayed in one of the lovely, stylishly furnished places from July 18th to 20th, 2025. 🥰

There's no direct way into the water for a swim. You have to go around the outside or through the other apartments. The apartment itself is lovely and sits right by the water, though there isn't much going on out there. If watching boats is what you're after, this spot probably won't suit you.

Our upper-floor apartment was modern and had a really nice view of the Havel River. We stayed several days and found parking right at the house very convenient. There is a main road in front, so mornings can be a little noisy, but we knew about it and it didn't bother us. The owners sorted out a small issue at the start of our stay quickly and completely to our satisfaction. Excellent service, thank you! :)

The hostess was friendly, and the location is beautiful. I was working remotely as a digital nomad, and found it only so-so for that, though it's lovely for a private break. Booking through SECRA/Airbnb was a complete mess communication-wise and cost far too much. With so many people involved and each trying to make money, the experience was badly affected for me. I would book directly next time. I would have liked to rate it higher.
