Himmelreich Braunfels

The bathroom has no heating, so it gets pretty cold when you shower. Even with the heating on, the room was quite chilly in winter. The rooms are small, and breakfast means walking about 50 meters along the street to the castle hotel.

Breakfast was delicious, attractively laid out and had something for everyone. The service was sensational, from reception through breakfast. The hotel is modernly furnished, and the rooms were very clean. It’s also well placed for exploring the city. We’d gladly stay again and highly recommend it.

The beds were very good, and everything had been renovated and was neat and clean. The hotel is centrally located but still wonderfully quiet. The breakfast atmosphere at the Schlosshotel was very pleasant, and the nearby Kurpark, associated beer garden and other dining options make it a lovely place to spend time. There are three parking spaces at the house, first come, first served. A makeup mirror would be useful in the bathroom. The ventilation runs on for a long time and works well, though it’s quite loud; the very friendly staff said they would look into it. The TV could be bigger for the viewing distance, and the cable hanging diagonally to the device looks quite out of place. A very nice hotel in a lovely location.

A small work table in the room would be nice, but it hasn’t affected my rating. I’m enjoying my stay and would recommend the hotel. I had a minor problem with a loud bathroom fan. Reception acted quickly, offered me a room change after a phone call, and helped me move, even though they’re in a different building. They checked the new room beforehand to make sure it was suitable. Mr. Friedrich (?) deserves special mention for taking such good care of guests. I felt valued and got quick, uncomplicated help, which sadly isn’t always how things go these days.
