Ferienhaus Blocksberg

There's plenty of space in this holiday home for six people, and we had enough dishes for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven, and dishwasher, and there's Wi-Fi. It's fairly central, with two or three parking spaces out front. We did have trouble getting the living and dining room properly warm. Before the shower would drain right, we also had to remove a lot of hair left by previous guests from the drain.

This is a beautiful, spacious house with a large living room and three bedrooms for six people. The kitchen is well stocked with plates and other dishes, though it was missing a cloth for wiping the tables after cooking and eating. There are steep extra charges on top of the final cleaning fee for things like disposing of rubbish incorrectly, leaving the used oven dirty, or not emptying the dishwasher. Otherwise, the house is highly recommended.

We cut our stay short after two nights because the house was so noisy with our one-year-old, who doesn't sleep through the night. We also had strangers enter the house very quickly, something we'd never experienced in any other vacation rental over three nights. The living and dining rooms wouldn't get properly warm, and the sanitary waste bin in the bathroom, left by the previous tenant, wasn't emptied until after our first night. Even on the third night, we were still dealing with 70% noise. We'll visit Braunlage again, but never the Blocksberghaus.

Everything was clean and there really wasn't anything to complain about, apart from how long we had to wait to get into the house even though it was already free.
