Harmonie Hotel Rust

We really enjoyed the spa. The whirlpool was fantastic, and the sauna was just right for unwinding. The hotel sits in a beautiful, quiet spot that’s ideal for relaxing. Our room was spotless and well kept, and the staff were always welcoming and attentive. Breakfast offered plenty of variety and was delicious. We also enjoyed the afternoon coffee and cake and the evening meal. We’d happily come back and would recommend the hotel.

The spa was a treat. I used the sauna every day, and the large pool has loungers all around it. There’s even an outdoor whirlpool, which was amazing in winter, though my nose got cold 😅. The breakfast buffet was hard to beat, with fresh fruit, rolls, different breads, salads, and plenty more. We ate in the conservatory, looking out over the valley. I rent holiday apartments myself, so I tend to look at places from a different angle. This little hotel in the Harz Mountains impressed me from the start. Everyone, from the cleaning staff to the chef, was friendly, personal, and attentive. They make you feel like a guest, not a room number. My room was warm and spacious enough, with a very comfortable 1.40m bed for me on my own ☝️. It even had a bathtub, and everything was furnished with care and attention to detail. You can tell the owner has put thought into hosting. I felt at ease right away. It was a little noisy, but everyone sleeps at night anyway. Keep doing what you’re doing. There aren’t many landlords this good.

The spa, with its pool and sauna, was wonderful, and we enjoyed delicious dinners every evening. There was an appetizer, a choice of four main courses, and dessert. Breakfast was excellent too. This was our first short break in Hohegeiß in the Harz Mountains, and we had a lovely time. Our room was small but cosy, with charming decor. It had a bathtub and came with shower gel, soap, shampoo, and plenty of hand and bath towels. The staff were very friendly. We’d love to return.

The room was tidy and very clean, and we ate well on the half-board plan. The meals were freshly cooked and delicious. At breakfast there was everything you could want, and coffee was brought promptly and thoughtfully to the table. The hotel has a pool, sauna, and a great outdoor whirlpool. I took off one star because the bathroom felt a little dated. The grounds are very well maintained, and the area is perfect for hiking.
