The room was clean enough, though the bathroom needed better attention to hygiene, especially the stains on the floor and around the sink. There's a fridge, but it isn't stocked, so there's no minibar. Breakfast was decent, but could use more variety. The bacon was thin, dry, and bland, and the scrambled eggs served one day smelled strongly and strangely. I ate some and then had problems for a few days. The double room is quite cramped: if your suitcase opens in two halves, it won't fit on the luggage rack and there's nowhere on the floor to spread it out. The beds felt too firm, and I wasn't keen on the pillows either, though that may just be my preference. It's a better option than another Best Western nearby.

The room we booked was large, but when a friend arrived, the receptionist on the morning shift seemed unhappy. At checkout, we were charged extra. The receptionist could have helped us work out how to accommodate the extra guest or at least suggested what to do.

Breakfast was frustrating: there was just one coffee machine for the whole hotel, and a rude woman stopped me on my way out and told me to throw away the two or three slices of bread I’d taken for 10 a.m. I usually have a light breakfast of coffee and muesli, then take that bread for later. Never again.

Our family room was tucked at the very back and felt more like an apartment. The beds were really, really hard, and everything looked quite old. Still, we had what we needed, the location was great, and the air conditioning worked.

The room was small, about 3 by 3 metres, and crowded with furniture, but it was good quality. Parking in their lot at the back costs an extra €12 a day. At least the car is watched over there, which is reassuring. I’d recommend the hotel for a short stay.
