Hotel-Restuarant Heideschänke

The bathroom was awful: it smelled of sewage, there was mold along the shower edges and near the door, and running the sink or toilet triggered a really loud pumping noise from under the toilet. I don't know what it was, but it scared me. Bugs also kept getting into the room through a badly sealed window, even when it was shut. There were no blackout blinds, just a thin covering that let all the light through. My room was cold and smelled bad, with an uneven floor. The furniture seemed fairly new but was cheap, and the walls and flimsy door were stained. The floor was poorly fitted, too. Upstairs, the halls didn't look promising, with loose-feeling carpet and stained walls; even the doors felt shockingly cheap. The hotel felt cold and dead when I first walked in, although there wasn't much smell in the entrance. I was glad I left a night early. I couldn't face another night in that filthy room that felt like it was barely holding together, with a toilet reeking as if there'd been a cholera outbreak. For that price, I might as well have slept in a tent in the middle of an intersection. I strongly recommend avoiding this “hotel.” Owners, either lower the prices or properly overhaul the place. You won't get more paying customers if you keep it like this. I'm leaving location and service out of this, since I don't think they're very relevant to my experience.

I spent three nights here, and there was a strange smell throughout the hotel, like old smoke or something. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
