Ferienhaus Boddenzauber

The house is in a peaceful, convenient spot, with a lovely view of the Breeger Bodden lagoon. The Baltic Sea is a minute away on foot, small shops are about a ten-minute walk, and larger shopping centers are a five-minute drive. Other towns and attractions are only a few minutes away by car. There’s also a restaurant across the street with a great selection. The house is spacious and comfortable for six adults, with a south-facing double room and balcony, a north-facing twin room, and another double room in the attic. The bedrooms looked nice and were well equipped, though storage was limited; one even had a TV. The terrace was attractive, but there was no parasol. The kitchen has dishes, a fridge with freezer compartment, an oven and baking trays, a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. It’s adequately equipped, but there aren’t many dishes, no potholders, and the pots and utensils are very basic. Cooking a larger meal was difficult because some pots were too small and the ladles bent easily. The bathrooms were nice, but the upstairs one smelled awful when we arrived, and it took a lot to clear the odor, so we had to keep the ventilation on. The toilet seats weren’t properly attached, either. Most of the doors were warped and hard to close. The information folder about the destination was interesting but out of date, with some places in it no longer there. Wi-Fi was free, but slow and unreliable in parts of the house, and mobile reception is very poor here. There are a few minor drawbacks and you’ll need to bring some things yourself, but they don’t take much away from the house’s good looks and great location. I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday home on Rügen.
