A small, lovely hotel that's clearly well looked after. I'd pick a room on the top floor, since the floors creak a lot.

The ground-floor room was spacious and quite nicely furnished, with a good-sized bathroom. But on the second night, my companion had to sleep with the mattress on the floor: the slatted base cracked through the bed frame when she simply sat on the edge, and it couldn't be put back together. We emailed to complain and ask for a partial refund, but got no response. We wouldn't stay here again.

The price for what you get was okay. The room was really noisy, though, and we could hear almost everything from both inside and outside. Its small heater wasn't enough for a room that size. Check-in was handled through a doorbell and loudspeaker system.

Our room, No. 6, was spacious, spotless, and surprisingly quiet, and the location was great. The value for money was good, too. The decor probably won't win any design awards.

We stayed one night as a couple and were happy with it. The room was better than we'd expected, and the value still seems good to us. Our parking reservation worked perfectly as well, so we can recommend the place.
