The house was clean and the location was excellent, but we arrived to find there wasn't enough bed linen for everyone. We tried calling the owner, but got no answer and even had a call hung up on us, so we had to sort out the linen ourselves. Communication before the stay had also been very slow. We also hadn't understood from the description that the bedrooms have no doors and are separated only by the open stairwell.

The hostess made us feel very welcome, with thoughtful touches like handmade soap, hand sanitizer, and the heating already on. The tiny timber-framed house is beautifully kept and stylishly furnished, almost elegant. It can be hard to find, but staying there was well worth the effort.

The rooms are so cozy and stylish, and the old beams creak at night while the floorboards groan. That all adds to the charm of staying in a restored or preserved half-timbered house in such a historic setting. The "Schnoor" really is Bremen's dollhouse. The owner was wonderful, kind, and always ready to help. Absolutely lovely.
