Hotel Rose

I've stayed at the hotel and eaten at the restaurant for years, mostly for business, but a few times privately too. It's run by a dedicated family and a fantastic team who are friendly and easy to approach. The rooms are immaculate, and there's a great choice of food and drinks. The whole Rose experience deserves five stars. It's a real gem in the area, well worth the extra kilometres.

We were just passing through on the way to Austria, but this place was much more than an ordinary hotel. The staff made us feel welcome, our room was spacious and lovely, and dinner was great. We had to leave early, and they brought an ample breakfast right to our door to take along. We loved every bit of our stay and can only recommend it. See you next year! Lieve groeten uit Nederland.

We came for a business trip and got a warm welcome. We arrived around noon, much earlier than expected, but our rooms were already ready. The staff were friendly and helpful. We returned for dinner and had a very attentive server. The food was delicious. I nearly ordered a second Carpaccio, then had an excellent house-made Schnitzel and a wonderful Crème brûlé for dessert. The owner came by our table to ask what we thought, and we honestly loved it. Thanks for looking after us!

There are some interesting features here, including an in-house butcher shop that also sells to customers. The restaurant was decent, with a limited menu but well-prepared dishes. Breakfast had several cold options, though egg choices were very limited, and a pile of scrambled eggs left on the cooker didn't look especially elegant. The hotel is clean and quite large, with spacious rooms, but the furniture is starting to look old. The toilet area is minimalist and the toiletries are sparse. WiFi was a real letdown: slow, with a weak signal. Parking also seemed limited for the number of guests. A fair three-star stop in the region, no more.
