Landhaus Goeres

The apartment was tidy and clean, and the setting is beautiful. The wine from the property's own vineyard is excellent.

Briedel is a quiet place to unwind, especially in the evenings and on Sundays. There’s not much going on in the village, so for shops, restaurants or cafés you can head to Zell. From the house, it’s easy to walk through the vineyards or along the Moselle, and there are lots of interesting hiking routes nearby. The apartment is also a great base for cycling along the river, with Cochem and Bernkastel-Kues roughly on either side. We found the apartment modern and very clean, and it felt comfortable for two people. It’s a good size, and the equipment leaves little to want, especially in the kitchen. The dishwasher was a real plus. For the price and what you get, I’d give it 5/5.

After getting to know the Goethes family's wine on a visit to Briedel in 2017, we finally stayed in one of their holiday apartments. It was bright, nicely furnished, and we felt very welcome from the start. After hikes, the terrace was a lovely place to relax, and the bread delivery meant easy mornings. Towels were provided, with fresh ones available whenever needed in an open cupboard, which is a great idea. There was also a shelf of the family's wines in the cellar. We could take a bottle upstairs, note the number and pay when we left. We felt very comfortable and will definitely return.

We had a lovely six days at Landhaus Goeres. The bed was really comfortable, and the apartment was modern, very clean, and had a kitchen fully equipped for cooking. A little decoration would make it nicer. We tried the Goeres family's delicious wine and sparkling wine, and took a few bottles home. We’ll definitely come back.
